We started looking at homes when we were in Houston a few weeks ago. This home is in a planned community where they like to do build-your-own homes. It is already built and wasn't selling so they drastically reduced the price. It's a bit larger than we actually need right now, but it gives us room to grow. Our closing on the home is scheduled for March 28th, and we are very excited. Erik is still working on completing the steps necessary to start the police academy. He has a conditional offer, we're just waiting for the paperwork to be finalized. We miss all of our friends in New Orleans, but look forward to making new friends here in Houston.

Our Home
Since moving to Houston, our life has begun to settle down a bit, and things have started to look more permanent so Erik and I began to look for a permanent residence (as of right now, we are living with his parents). A week ago, we started the process of buying this home (this is just a picture downloaded from the community website, our home has more of a red tint to the brick).
