Fishing

While at my parents cabin, Jordyn got to go fishing for the first time. To celebrate such an experience, we got her a new fishing pole of her very own. Once at the lake, we tied a plastic butterfly (it came with the pole, why a butterfly? who knows, ) to the end of the string and

for a little while she was content with that, but then she saw others getting things out of the tackle box and had to see what she could find. She was full of excitement when she found a container of WORMS! She wasn't sure what to think of them when Aunt Toni put one on her hand, but she thought it was great fun when that poor worm got wrapped around the wings of her butterfly. Aunt Toni and Jordyn sat and threw that poor worm into the lake and reeled it back in over and over again. When her cousins, Harley (3yrs) and Callie (5yrs) saw how much fun the worms were, they each had to have one of their own (but they were a bit more daring than Jordyn and actually held theirs). In the mean time, my dad and sister, Heather, were busy keeping the "real" polls in the water for the bigger kids. (like father, like daughter: it's a good thing I live so far away otherwise I wouldn't get away with saying that)
