Gymnastics Show Week

J had her show week for gymnastics this week and she did AWESOME! She also reminded us that she marches to the beat of her own drum - to begin their routines, the instructor called out each child's name and they were supposed to run across the mat and do a forward roll, J was called last and instead of running out, she came hopping out (like a rabbit) - Erik and I about fell off our chairs we were laughing so hard. J had a HUGE smile on her face as she did this - she was quite proud of the reaction she got. Then the whole class did a floor routine together before they split into groups to do a bar/beam routine and an individual floor routine. J loves to do tummy rolls on the bar and can actually do them by herself. Next it was onto the beam. For some reason, I didn't get any pictures of J doing her floor routine, but she did great. She's got a lot of skill when it comes to gymnastics, unfortunately she's lost interest in it so she doesn't try too hard to improve. Her interest are in dance these days, especially ballet, so that's what she's doing next semester. Here's J receiving her medal, and showing off on the uneven bars after class.
